John Swales - 13th April 1751 - O044

Hampsthwaite, Yeoman

The rents arising from my real estate to my wife.

To my son James Swales £60; half immediately and the remaining half after the death of my wife.

To my son William Swales £20 after the death of my wife. Should he die first hen the same between his son and daughters.

To my five grandchildren Elizabeth Swales, Grace Swales, Mary Swales, Isabella Swales, and John Swales, children of my son John Swales, 20s each after the death of my wife.

Residue of my goods and chattels to my son John whom I appoint Executor.

Witnesses : John Maltus, James Maltus, Peter Lax

Inventory (£187 2s 6d) of 7th November 1842 by William Lawn and Christopher Long available. Note he is now shown as of Killinghall, Farmer.
