Ex-Sergeant G W Johnson of the Machine Gun Corps, who has been awarded the Roumanian Medal (3rd Class) for his services in that country. He joined the Army in 1914 at 17 years of age, and went overseas with the 5th West Yorks in the following year. He is a member of the Bilton Working Men's Club, where it is hoped the presentation of the medal will be made. Sergeant Johnson recently received the diploma of the award.
